“Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It's a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.”
We all want to know we matter. We all want to be heard. We all have a story to tell. In our distracted world, presence is rare. We all need safe spaces to move in and through our emotions. I offer compassionate presence in sacred safe space to hold your shadow and light without judgement. All of you is welcome & honored. I believe everyone deserves to enjoy the wonderful feeling of true health.
As a practitioner today in Boulder, CO, I bring wholehearted love and presence to each session. I listen fully to every client's story and I want to hear what is truly alive for you. I am an intuitive healer. After practicing for 20 years, I am able to recognize even subtle imbalances through sight and touch, powerfully treating underlying patterns which can finally give you the relief you are seeking. My goal is to help you come home to yourself & receive the tools necessary to maintain health & balance. Each session is custom crafted specifically for your exact desires and needs. I offer basic acupuncture sessions or Ceremonial Botanical Bodywork sessions where I blend shamanic medicine, sacred massage & acupuncture (with or without needles). Working together, with both reverence and humor, we bring the fullest expression of your health into blossom.
My journey with healing work began at a very young age. As a teen, I had experience with addictions and PTSD, which left me with a severely damaged digestive system and chronic fatigue. When I was 15, I went to the Kripalu Center and learned about yoga, bodywork, conscious eating and meditation. Not only did these practices heal me: I’m convinced they saved my life. Having experienced the power of true healing, I returned annually to Kripalu and have also spent time in residence there, immersing myself in their teachings about holistic living.
When I was 22, I became an addictions counselor. I worked in a 28 day inpatient facility for an extremely poor, addicted and traumatized population mainly from the boroughs of New York. It was there I was struck with awareness that the talk therapy I offered to clients was limited for healing. I longed for a method that could address their mind, body and spirit. A 5 point acupuncture protocol call AcuDetox, proven to treat PTSD and addictions, was administered there. I witnesseed the most angry, dissociated, addicted people transform when they received the needles. They became peaceful and calm and reported having less cravings, improved mood and sleep. This led me to obtain a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine; a beautiful healing art that does not separate mind, body and spirit in health and healing.
My healing arts practice expanded when I began receiving and studying Earth Centered Shamanism. These practices saved my life during episodes of depression, anxiety, addiction and suicidal ideation ~ which all can be a result of trauma. When trauma occurs, a piece of our soul separates. This is called soul loss in shamanism. One of the main medicines I offer is soul retrieval: an opportunity for people to come home into their bodies and remember their true nature, their perfection and holiness. These shamanic practices utilize nature medicine. Nature is one of our greatest spiritual teachers & healers. Nature reminds us we can trust a power greater than ourselves & trust our innate ability to heal. I bring the healing power of plants and the elements into each session with Earth Centered Shamanism. These practices include non psychedelic plant spirit medicine, journeying, ceremony, ritual and working intuitively with spirit guides & the non ordinary realms. I honor my teachers in these earth centered traditions: Ann Drucker and Naomi Love.
